The Bee's Knees dates back to the Roaring Twenties, created by Frank Meier — head bartender and secret spy at the Ritz Bar in Paris. During Prohibition, bartenders used honey and lemon to mask the harsh taste of bathtub gin. The result was so good, it became a classic in its own right.

The name itself is 1920s slang for "the best" — right alongside "the cat's pajamas." Rivergreen honors this heritage with real honey and fresh lemon juice, paired with premium gin that doesn't need masking — just celebrating

About Rivergreen Cocktails: From Doctor to Distiller. Rivergreen Cocktails was born in the summer of 2020 when I — a full-time OB/GYN and mother of three — found an unexpected spark of creativity during the pandemic. I noticed a shift from malt-based to spirit-based ready-to-drinks and saw an opportunity to craft premium gin cocktails made with real fruit juices, natural sweeteners, and a strong ABV.
